Come Stay With Us!

Come Stay With Us!

We’re happy to announce our participation in the Hipcamp community! Hipcamp is a way to connect landowners like us – who want to keep our land undeveloped – with responsible, ecologically-minded campers.

Our camping area is pretty primitive right now, but if this takes off, we’d love to add more amenities for campers in the future.

One of the best things about staying here is that there is so much to see and do nearby. Natural beauty surrounds us! Riverfront Park, located along the Susquehanna River, is within walking distance. Biking, boating, walking, and bird watching are popular activities at the park. Hiking trails and rock climbing are a short drive away at Chickies Rock. You can also tour our farm, meet our animals, and check out our retail farm store too while you’re here. We have some great jerky and beef sticks for sale – perfect for camping!

Check out our listing and book a stay with us soon…

Drager Farms Barn Renovation – GoFundMe Campaign

Barn Renovation | Drager Farms, Marietta PA

We finally started work on our barn renovation project. Starting on the barn is a big deal for both myself and my fiancée, Christel. The barn represents “community” for both of us and the additional space will give us room to do more of what we love: sharing our unique skills and knowledge with others. I hope to offer workshops about different things I’ve done here on the farm as far as fencing, my grazing practices, and how I’m raising my livestock. Christel will have her own space to teach yoga and other healthy living workshops. And we both look forward to having farm-to-table dinners! ? The possibilities really seem endless when we think about the kind of stuff we could end up doing here. We started a GoFundMe campaign if you’d like to help us with our latest endeavor. Any support would be greatly appreciated!

2017 Pork Share Planned

I am excited to announce that because of your interest, I’ve decided to raise pigs again this year and do a pork share this summer. I’ll be getting piglets in March from a Niman Ranch producer and processing in July.

All Niman Ranch farmers must follow strict protocols based on sustainability and humane practices. So these piglets start out the best way possible and continue living a natural lifestyle, roaming and rooting, on my farm.

I am asking $250 down for a whole pig or $150 down for a half share. More details and payment options can be found here: http://dragerfarms.com/product/pork-share/. If you want a whole or half share but don’t have room to store it, I can keep it for you (up to 1 year) for an additional 50¢ per pound. If you’re interested in something other than a whole or half share, please let me know so I can plan accordingly. Call or text 717-951-0327, or email nathan@dragerfarms.com to discuss.

— Drager Farms, LLC in Marietta, PA, uses sustainable agriculture methods to produce Certified Grassfed by AGW beef —

MARIETTA, PA (AUGUST 30, 2016)–Drager Farms, LLC is the first farming business in Pennsylvania to be Certified Grassfed by A Greener World (AGW). This is the only certification and logo in the U.S. and Canada that guarantees food products come from animals fed a 100 percent grass and forage diet, raised outdoors on pasture or range for their entire lives, and managed according to Certified AWA’s leading welfare and environmental standards on an independent family farm. While other grassfed labels exist, none has fully met consumer expectations when it comes to a grassfed and forage diet, environmental management, and farm animal welfare–until now.
