These trees help to increase the riparian buffer zone between our cattle and the stream that flows through our property and out to the Susquehanna River. Join us for our first farm-to-table dinner in the beautiful historic barn at Drager Farms! This intimate dining experience will feature a sit-down dinner created by private chef, Jason Hampton, of In a Pinch Catering.
Diners can arrive early to take in the atmosphere of the farm and learn a little bit about why we do what we do here at Drager Farms. Hopefully one of our amazing sunsets will grace us as we eat. This is a fabulous night out and a wonderful way to make new friends, connecting with the local community.
The highlight of the 4-course meal will be Drager Farms’ grass fed prime rib roast, accompanied by a bounty of fresh, local seasonal ingredients. Full menu and list of local farm suppliers will be announced closer to the event date.

Drager Farms got accepted into the Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership! We will be planting trees on May 4th and are looking for able-bodied volunteers to help plant about 400 trees around the property. This is hard physical labor but if we all work together, we should be done in no time! And you’ll definitely sleep well that night. [¡– BONUS –!]
The trees will serve as a riparian buffer, part of a concerted statewide effort to keep Pennsylvania waters clean. The trees will also provide some welcome shade for the cows who live here.
The tree planting event is scheduled to begin at 9am and we will work until noon.
Drager Farms is now carrying pastured pork & poultry products from Mirror Image Farms, located in Marietta PA. We chose to work with Mirror Image Farms because they have similar values and animal raising practices as our own. Because of this partnership, we will be able to offer pastured pork and poultry to our customers once again. Check out the “Mirror Image Farms” section of our online shop to see what we have in stock.
Drager Farms is taking deposits now for our 2018 Beef Share Program. Processing will happen late summer/early fall. Once your deposit is received, we will be in contact with you so that you can customize your share.
Select from whole, half, quarter, or eighth shares. (Our quarter share is the most popular option and yields about 100 lbs of beef.) All meat is dry aged, frozen, vacuum packed, and USDA inspected.

We finally started work on our barn renovation project. Starting on the barn is a big deal for both myself and my fiancée, Christel. The barn represents “community” for both of us and the additional space will give us room to do more of what we love: sharing our unique skills and knowledge with others. I hope to offer workshops about different things I’ve done here on the farm as far as fencing, my grazing practices, and how I’m raising my livestock. Christel will have her own space to teach yoga and other healthy living workshops. And we both look forward to having farm-to-table dinners! ? The possibilities really seem endless when we think about the kind of stuff we could end up doing here. We started a GoFundMe campaign if you’d like to help us with our latest endeavor. Any support would be greatly appreciated!

2017 Pork Share Planned
I am excited to announce that because of your interest, I’ve decided to raise pigs again this year and do a pork share this summer. I’ll be getting piglets in March from a Niman Ranch producer and processing in July.
All Niman Ranch farmers must follow strict protocols based on sustainability and humane practices. So these piglets start out the best way possible and continue living a natural lifestyle, roaming and rooting, on my farm.
